1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Cyber Skills Builder LLC  governing your access to and use of cyberskillsbuilder.io, our free preview, and our paid course subscription (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing the free preview, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information.

2. Description of the Service

Cyber Skills Builder is an online educational platform offering video lessons and guided coding projects to help learners build practical, portfolio-ready cybersecurity skills. As of the Effective Date, the course consists of approximately 90 lessons across 3 modules, including 30 security-skills lessons, 30 Python-concept lessons, and 30 hands-on portfolio projects. Course content, structure, and pricing may change over time, and new lessons may be added during your subscription period.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription. If you are between 16 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18), you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchases made. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements. The Platform is not directed at children under 16.

4. Free Preview

We may offer free access to a limited selection of lessons ("Free Preview") in exchange for your name and email address. The Free Preview is provided for evaluation purposes, may be modified or discontinued at any time, and does not itself create any obligation on our part to provide further access.

5. Account Registration

To access paid course content, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information

• Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others

• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account

• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

6. Subscription, Fees, and Payment

Paid access to the course is offered as a subscription providing 12 months of full access from the date of purchase, including any new lessons added during that period, unless otherwise stated at checkout. Prices are shown at checkout in the currency displayed and may be changed prospectively at any time; changes will not affect a subscription you have already purchased.

Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor Stripe. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize us (via our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method for the applicable fees. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchase, except taxes on our net income.

7. Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your original purchase date, no questions asked. To request a refund, contact us at info@cyberskillsbuilder.io. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method. Refund requests made after the 14-day window are handled at our discretion.

8. Intellectual Property; License to Use

All course content — including video lessons, written materials, project instructions, sample code, graphics, and the Cyber Skills Builder name and branding — is owned by Cyber Skills Builder LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the course content for your personal, non-commercial, educational use during your subscription period. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or share course content (including video lessons or written materials) outside your own personal use

• Share your account or access credentials with anyone else

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated means to extract course content

• Use course content to create a competing product or service

• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

9. Your Course Projects and Code

As between you and us, you own the specific code and portfolio projects you personally write while following the course exercises, and you are free to host that code on GitHub or elsewhere and show it to recruiters or employers. This does not extend to our underlying instructional content, project instructions, video lessons, or curriculum, which remain our intellectual property as described in Section 8.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

Some lessons involve building tools related to security testing (for example, a password cracker, port scanner, or vulnerability scanner). These tools and techniques are provided strictly for educational purposes, and you agree to use them only:

• On systems, networks, or accounts you own, or where you have explicit, prior written authorization to test

• In compliance with all applicable laws, including computer fraud and unauthorized access laws in your jurisdiction

• In a manner that does not harm, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any third party's systems or data

You are solely responsible for how you use the skills, code, and tools taught in the course. We do not authorize, and expressly prohibit, any unlawful or unauthorized use. Violating this section may result in immediate termination of your access without refund.

You also agree not to misuse the Platform generally, including by introducing malware, attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfering with other users, or using the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

11. No Guarantee of Employment or Outcomes; Not a Certification

Completing the course is intended to help you build a demonstrable portfolio, but it does not guarantee that you will obtain a job, interview, promotion, or any particular career outcome. Hiring decisions are made solely by third-party employers based on many factors outside our control.

The course is a skills-building complement to, not a substitute for, formal certifications (such as CompTIA Security+). Completing the course does not itself confer any professional certification, license, or credential.

12. Third-Party Services

The Platform may link to or rely on third-party services, including our payment processor, email/course delivery platform, and social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service, and your use of those services is subject to their own terms.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL COURSE CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT COMPLETING THE COURSE WILL RESULT IN ANY PARTICULAR SKILL LEVEL, CERTIFICATION, OR EMPLOYMENT OUTCOME.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Cyber Skills Builder LLC harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or violation of any law or third-party right, including any unauthorized or unlawful use of the security skills or tools taught in the course.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Platform, or engaged in unlawful activity, including violations of Section 10 (Acceptable Use Policy). Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, and 17) will survive.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objection to venue there.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the Platform where required by law. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform.

• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

• Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
